Do You Care About Your Health & The Health Of Your Loved Ones In Richardson TX?
2024 thoughts and feelings as a healthcare provider. Yes, I am a chiropractor and practice full time. It is Likely “most” people think that chiropractic or a Richardson TX chiropractor’s job is seeing people with back pain and neck pain (they probably got by sleeping wrong - there is no such thing as sleeping wrong.) And the Chiropractor twist them like a pretzel and cranks their head both ways and pop, crack, you are whole! See you when I see you. To be honest, there is a shred of truth to that sentiment. There are many times, but that is exactly what happens in my day, and when I have learned is that you have to meet people where they are and it is not wise to try to educate them right then and there when they are in pain about what chiropractors really “can” do.
However, the condensed “truth” about what my job actually entails is more like: A person comes in who is in pain or has symptoms that are associated with discomfort many times those symptoms have become life altering in a negative manner. Most have been told that a chiropractor will do nothing for them or not a chiropractic problem or even make their pain worse. These people are usually still having the same issues that brought them to a doctor in the 1st place, but now they are on 2-3 medications and new symptoms to share. I can tell you that it’s no surprise that somebody who has a traditional insurance plan that they (or their employer) pay into has now been over the years to their PCP and about 10-15 specialist and likely have not had an advanced scan of the pertinent anatomy. They Have not had a thorough neurologic and orthopedic exam (yes they have had the quick covered my a$$ ones) that would highlight the region associated with the underlying anatomy involved (if applicable).
However, the worst part of it all, and truly the reason for me writing and sharing this is “they have not been told the truth”!! And that is all here below for you to read (and yes, read you must) the truth does not come in a 20 second TikTok, the truth does not come in a five minute YouTube video, and the truth is not here it it’s whole.
Thorough Look At How Our Body & Mind Work When Sick In Richardson TX
Now then, below is a fairly thorough look at how our body and our mind, our biochemistry and physiology works when we are sick, hurt, feeling not well and what being a health care provider entails much of the time. Pain via injury, visceral pain via sickness or ANY other symptoms can be looked at as a Immunocompromise on a spectrum (or immune system response = The way the body defends itself against substances it sees as harmful or foreign) that can happen via sleep deprivation and have a similar physiological response when you have G.I. stress via poor Nutrition or other environmental suboptimal conditions (pollution, dirty water, bad food, excess alcohol consumption/abuse, drug use and smoking, non-activity & over consumption of I-pads/TV and even too much exercise without proper recovery).
Your body/our bodies trying fight unwanted antigens, remove toxic substances, and repair damaged tissues leads to fatigue (during the process will be be fatigued) and a fatigued human being is susceptible to injury... Injury shows up in the form of sickness (auto-immune reactions, allergy flareup), unwanted stress response such as aches/pains or flat out spasms, dehydration, sympathetic dominance, and all other poor symptoms we rush to the doctor for.
In other words "everything is connected"
You should expect that your back hurts more when you're sick, you should expect your neck pain and headaches more when you get poor sleep or you are stressed and uncomfortable! You can expect to get "hives" and other skin rash "acne" breakouts if you are not eating healthy agreeable foods! Along with additional stress in your life. Without exercise and good nutrition choices you can expect your blood to thicken your arteries to narrow as you age and your body becomes less resilient leading to pre-diabetes/diabetes along with hearth related complications.
This is applicable to any condition that you want to reference, and I’m not saying that any condition does not require mainstream medical urgent or emergent intervention because many times it does. But if you’ve read anything that I wrote and understand where I am coming from in any capacity, then you know that I am sharing with you what a Chiropractor that takes their responsibilities seriously does “many times” and what the job really entails past the chiropractic adjustment. I wanted to share this with all my friends, family and loved ones, because there is limited time in the office, let alone “in life” as we human beings search for specific answers as to why they feel the way they do.
By no means is this medical advice But in every way it is me sharing my experience as a provider with nothing but love and truth about how the human body works. We must begin to accept that everything is connected to everything and the “psycho social” components in our lives are not “in our heads” but the “emotional, nutritional and environmental” components that can and DO manifest physically (which are the symptoms we deal with) along with not always needing to have one finger on “one thing” that will lead you down the road of pharmacological reliance and will lead to additional symptoms and problems. No human being should have to be on multiple medications “all the time”. Of course, we know there are exceptions to this…. I am not a fool nor do I take anyone reading this for one.. The reality is Almost "all the time" the problem is right in front of us when we look in the mirror and are able to prevent many things from happening by “controlling our environment” ,making healthy decisions that lead to good habits and a productive routine to the best of our abilities.
